Does YNAB Have a Calendar View?

18 March 2026 | Willem Handreck

YNAB doesn't have a calendar view. You can see scheduled transactions in a list, and your budget shows monthly spending by category, but there's no way to look at a traditional calendar and see your transactions laid out by date.

For a lot of people, that's a meaningful gap. A list of upcoming bills is useful — but a calendar view makes it immediately obvious when things are due, how they cluster around paydays, and whether a particular week is going to be tight.

What YNAB Does Have

YNAB's scheduled transactions feature lets you set up recurring bills and future payments. These show up in your accounts as upcoming entries, and YNAB uses them to calculate your account balances going forward.

What it doesn't do is show these in a calendar format. You can see that your rent is due on the 1st and your car payment on the 15th, but you can't glance at a month view and see everything laid out visually.

How to Get a Calendar View of Your YNAB Transactions

Calendar for YNAB fills this gap by syncing your YNAB transactions — both scheduled future payments and your historical transaction history — to a standard iCal feed. You subscribe to this feed in whatever calendar app you already use: Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, Fantastical, and others.

Your transactions appear as events on the days they occur. Scheduled bills show up on their due dates. Past transactions appear on the days they were cleared. You get a real calendar view of your financial life, right alongside your existing appointments and events.
